I never posted the boys’ actual birthday cake/celebration. Since we had a low key family celebration – I made cupcakes and we had a ‘regular’ dinner with the cupcakes for dessert.
We were watching Pioneer Woman one evening (I LOVE her… check out her website and for extra fun, check out cooking show on the Food Network. She lives in Oklahoma on a ranch and being that I am only 1.5 hours from the Oklahoma border… I have been very close to just driving through Oklahoma attempting to find her. Surely she is used to stalkers and has the correct security precautions…). And… back to my point ~ the Pioneer Woman made these amazing cupcakes with cream on the inside. All three boys, with mouths’ watering, said they wanted those cupcakes for the birthday celebration.

It has chocolate ganache on top. These are now in my top 3 favorite desserts I have ever made. So good! Again, love that Pioneer Woman. I think she’s near Tulsa. I mean, how many 500 acre ranches are out there? It has a big sign on it that says ‘Drummond Ranch’ – surely that narrows it down, right?
Here they are, all lined up ready to be devoured.

Oh yeah, so anyway, about the boys turning six!
Here are Mason and Hagen, ready to have his song and eat his cake.

We got them a balloon each (yeah, we went all out) and a mask for each of us to wear. Every boy loves a mask, didn’t ya know?

And… on to 7. Mason asked me the other day, how old when I be on March 18th? I said, 7! He said, Oh wow, I’ll be in 1st grade!!.
Ugh! Don’t remind me!!! Growing.Up.Before.My.Eyes!
