Some More Video...

Just some random videos from the past couple of days.

Mason learning how the remote for the fan works.

Mason walking.

I mentioned these horses before - but the boys' sweet great-uncle Lin handmade these for the boys! H and M are getting so big, they can now actually make the horses rock on their own!

And I just had to add a general playing video. Every now and then they will actually play together. It is so fun to catch them in these moments.

Monkeying Around

We have become a bunch of little monkeys lately. Hagen can now climb onto the fireplace. He thinks it is the funnest thing ever. I keep getting onto him, so he knows he isn't suppose to get on it. How do I know he understands me - because when he is crawling over to it, he looks back at me. He continues to look at me while he hikes his leg up. Then when I tell him 'no' he gives me his shy look. The little stinker.
So yesterday he was trying to speed crawl to the fireplace before I could pull him away and he misjudged how close he was to it. He put his hands up to grab the fireplace and he was too far away from it - his face slammed down onto the edge. I felt so bad for him. After he calmed down some, I gave him a 'boo boo' pack.

And of course, because Hagen had one, Mason had to have one. (You can kind of see Hagen's wound in the background.)

Here we are today, you can see the bruise in this picture.

Obviously we have forgotten all about the trauma from the day before.

I threw this one in just because it is so Hagen. This is my life and I love it... see what I see everyday! How could you not love your life when this greets you everyday :-)

And when this greets you....

So, back to my monkeys ... and now we are climbing on the ottoman, in the toy box, on the chairs, and in and out of the bathtub (yikes)...

'What? This isn't how you get off the chair?'

'Why can't I stay here while you read the bedtime story?'

'I'm getting off, give me a minute.'

In other news, Hagen took about 6 steps tonight! Yea, Hagen! Mason is also doing great. He is walking all over the place, but once he falls he has to find something to help him get back up again. Once he learns how to get up from sitting, he will be all over the place - (help!).

Bounce, Bounce, Bounce

We went to my nephew, Conner's, birthday party yesterday. It was at an indoor bounce house place. What a great idea! The boys loved it - I really think Hagen thought the party was for him. Ha ha, he was so fun to watch. I also got a taste of what it will be like when they become expert walkers - oh man... this is why they created leashes for kids!! I know I have alot of pictures, but there were so many cute ones to show. I think I see a party like this in our future!
Don't we look like such big boys! (sniff, sniff)

Watching Mason come down the slide.

'Are we going to do this every day??'
'Come out, Come out where ever you are.'

Here we are all going down the slide together.
When we put Hagen in one of the bounce houses, he just took off - he could have cared less where we were.

Mason liked being near one of us... but he warmed up. I think he liked the slides the best.
Hagen couldn't get enough of the slide --- Paucci got a workout! ;-)

There was an obstacle course that Jeremy took Hagen through. He loved it... notice the arrow - that is Hagen's head.
They also had these cute little cars and the boys loved riding around in them.
All the 'big' kids with our 'little' turkeys. Hmmm, and whose the ham in this group??Hagen didn't even make it home - he was so exhausted.

And you think Mason would ever fall asleep that easy??

Swimming 101

We are official, not exactly life guards or Olympic swimmers --- but we are close ;-) Here is the 'giant' slide they went down.
Here are our fabulous instructors, Amy (left) Sloan (right).

Here is a video montage of our swimming class. (For some reason the quality isn't as great as going through blogger. But I liked how I could combine all my videos into one.)

Have a Seat

The boys are exploring everything now. It seems with the height and cruising we are discovering new things and new uses for things that we didn't see when we were just crawling.
The window sill has become a great place to sit.

'Hey, what are you doing over there?'

'My ride should be here any minute.'

Two Peas in a Pod

We are oozing personality... 'Get in front of me, I'm tired of pictures.'
'Let me take a picture.'
Our Monkey!
Our Ham!
'When is hunting season again?'
'How do you like my pity face? Will it work when I want something?'
'You think that gate will keep us out forever? HA!'
'I wasn't sleeping, I was checking out my eyelids.'
'I think there is something in my diaper.' 'YOU are changing it, not me.'

"How Preemie Moms Are Chosen" by Erma Bombeck

Did you ever wonder how the mothers of premature babies are chosen?
Somehow, I visualize God hovering Earth, selecting his instruments for propagation with great care and deliberation. As he observes, he instructs his angels to take notes in a giant ledger. "Armstrong, Beth, son. Patron Saint...give her Gerard. He's used to profanity." Finally, he passes a name to an angel and smiles.
"Give her a preemie."
The angel is curious. "Why this one God? She's so happy."
"Exactly," smiles God. "Could I give a premature baby a mother who knows no laughter? That would be cruel."
"But does she have the patience?" asks the angel.
"I don't want her to have too much patience, or she'll drown in a sea of self-pity and despair. Once the shock and resentment wear off, she'll handle it. I watched her today. She has that sense of self and independence so rare and so necessary in a mother. You see, the child I am going to give her has a world of it's own. She has to make it live in her world, and that's not going to be easy."
God smiles. "This one is perfect. She has just the right amount of selfishness. "
The angel gasps, "Selfishness! Is that a virtue?"
God nods. "If she can't separate herself from the child occasionally, she will never survive. Yes, here is a woman whom I will bless with a child less than perfect. She doesn't know it yet, but she is to be envied. She will never take for granted a spoken word. She will never consider a step ordinary. When her child says momma for the first time, she will be witness to a miracle and know it. I will permit her to see cleary the things that I see - ignorance, cruelty, prejudice - and allow her to rise above them. She will never be alone. I will be at her side every minute of every day of her life because she is doing my work as surely as she is here by my side."
"But what about her Patron Saint?" asks the angel, his pen poised in the air.
God smiles.
"A mirror will suffice."
